WSFR will post resources to this space to assist States and WSFR Regions, as they become available.
Current authorities are provided below as references and should be consulted when considering eligible activities. The most recent guidance is: Implementing the Modernizing the Pittman-Robertson Fund for Tomorrow’s Needs Act Guidance. Currently, a Federal/State Team is assessing the guidances and advisories and developing updates to 50 CFR 80.

ADVISORY TEAM

WSFR formed a Wildlife Restoration/Hunter Education (WR/HE) Advisory Team consisting of WSFR subject matter experts (including a Service Solicitor) who received inquiries regarding implementation of the two new laws and recommended courses of action. The Team’s recommendations were shared with WSFR Regional Managers and the results posted for Regions and States to refer to when making decisions related to submitting grant proposals. Recommendations have and will continue to support the Regional offices ability to make timely and consistent determinations for activities in grant proposals.

The WR/HE Advisory Team and WSFR Managers agreed to be poised to quickly address questions/issues that States and staff submitted. Some topics required a slightly longer process to resolve, but efficiency was achieved. The Team work has been accomplished and the Team was stepped down with many thanks for their hard work. States, please continue to engage your Regional WSFR Office as questions arise and WSFR Headquarters and Regional Subject Matter Experts will be happy to assist.
