Implementing the Modernizing the Pittman-Robertson Fund for Tomorrow’s Needs Act Guidance

The Target Practice and Marksmanship Training Support Act (P. Law 116-17)
The Modernizing the Pittman-Robertson Fund for Tomorrow's Needs Act (P. Law 116-94)

This site gives a forum to information for implementing Public Laws 116-17 and 116-94. WSFR will post resources to this space to assist States and WSFR Regions, as they become available. Please provide feedback to Lisa_Van_Alstyne@fws.gov and Christina_Milloy@fws.gov. Current authorities are provided below as references and should be consulted when considering eligible activities.

WSFR has formed a Wildlife Restoration/Hunter Education (WR/HE) Advisory Team consisting of WSFR subject matter experts (including a Service Solicitor) who will receive inquiries regarding implementation of the two new laws and recommend a course of action. The Team’s recommendations will be shared with WSFR Regional Managers and the results posted for Regions and States to refer to when making decisions related to submitting grant proposals. Recommendations will support the Regional offices ability to make timely and consistent determinations for activities in grant proposals.

WSFR intends the WR/HE Advisory Team and WSFR Managers to be poised to quickly address questions/issues coming in. Some topics may require a longer process to resolve.
