ABOUT

The WSFR Branch of Policy is planning completed a series of 12 webinars as a follow-up to introduce the regulations process introductory webinars in June.  The webinars will be an additional 9 meetings scheduled every Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:30 Eastern Standard Time from July 15 through September 23 where we will discuss a series of regulatory issues that center around several subject areas.  We have grouped these issues around subject matter so that we can help and group subject matter experts as much as possible and make the most of participants’ time.  We will be hosting the first of these webinars next Wednesday, July 15, so that we stay on course with the regulatory timetable, and welcome your comments on which one of the subject matter groupings you would like to discuss first.  We have assigned dates to the groupings, but will change them according to the feedback we receive.  We will try to accommodate as many preferences as possible, but, inevitably, we will not be able to accommodate all schedules and priorities.  If we are regulatory process for revision of 50 CFR 80 and creation of 50 CFR 75 to State and Regional partners, along with over 90 highly-important issues that will help with efficient and effective administration of Federal financial assistance.  Webinars were held on Wednesdays from June through September of 2015.  Issues addressed ranged from definitions, to coordinating new language with guidance at the Cost Principles, to discussions of highly important, complex matters such as license certification and what kinds of wildlife our Federal funds should support.  Over 35 offices with many people called in on a weekly basis to discuss these important issues and the webinars generated some rich discussion.  If, by any chance, we were unable to meet to discuss a topic in which you are particularly interested during a given week, please contact me directly and feel free to view recorded webinars on the wiki to listen to the discussions.  Recorded webinars are on the wiki in the WSFR regulation review space.  As always, we welcome input from any and all persons who are interested , but would like to encourage you to forward this message and the invitation to subject matter experts within your organization who might want to join in the discussions. in this ongoing process, and we will do our best to write regulations that accurately reflect intent of the Acts, give flexibility to States and partners implementing Federal financial assistance, and combine all of our guidance in a logical, readable format.  Please navigate through the links below to see what we've been working on.
