Education/information. The education/information program, as identified in the
technical guidelines as published in the Federal Register, designed to make
recreational boaters aware of the environmental pollution problem resulting from
sewage discharges from vessels and inform them of the location of pumpout and

Apr 01, 2014Pam Parker Maine DEP Could this also include materials that provide guidance to facilities on the benefits, design considerations, costs and potential funding of boat pumpout stations?

I agree with Pam - I think there's more to include here than just what's currently listed. Perhaps instead of a long list of several specific items this could end with something vague that would cover everything else? Something like "as well as promote awareness of clean boating practices".
Also - could we change "sewage discharges" to "sewage and graywater discharges"? Or simply "discharges"?

Apr 22, 2014I also think this should include maps of the area and where near-by pumpouts, and floating-restrooms are located.
