To comment on the Clean Vessel Act current Final rule as we prepare for a new Clean Vessel Act Proposed Rule.

We are updating the Clean Vessel Act Final rule. We are actively including you in the pre-rulemaking process. We have gathered information from many sources and conversations over the past several years. In addition, we give you an opportunity to comment on the Final rule as it is now.
We will collect your comments through April 30, 2014. We plan to offer a first draft of the new Proposed rule to Regional Coordinators for comment. Once we have responded to their comments and made revisions, we will offer a second draft to all partners.

Included in this FA Wiki space are sections of the current Final rule. Each section of the rule and each definition has it's own page. Each page has areas for your comments.
NOTE: On several pages I have added information to the page or a comment below. My information/comments are in this color green. They will give you more direction to assist in commenting.
Please use these guidelines to comment:
1) Make sure to identify yourself when you make your comments: Name and State/affiliation on each comment; Contact information with your first comment.
2) Make your comments on the page specific to the section you are commenting on.
3) Include in your comment what you consider the major issue with the section (Ex: Update to current standards/needs, Needs more detailed information, Clarify, etc.)
4) When your comments suggest a change, please offer an alternative, give details and/or suggestions, or other information that will help us to develop an appropriate national approach.
5) You may add other comments or topics not specific to the Final rule as it is published to the page labeled "Other Comments/Topics."
