Who receives a registered account?

Several groups have been identified to receive a registered user account (assigned user name and personally created password). The groups are:

  • Partners-all state agency coordinators and key fiscal staff of the WSFR grant programs.
  • FA Coordinators Working Group-all members of the state WSFR grant program coordinators working group selected by the respective coordinators within each FWS Region
  • WSFR-all federal employees who work in the WSFR Program (HQ and Regions)
  • JTF-all members of the Joint Federal/State Task Force on Federal Assistance Policy. (Members include six (6) WSFR Program employees designated by USFWS and six (6) state fish and wildlife agency employees designated by AFWA.)


Can project leaders be assigned an account?

No, not at this time. Most WSFR project leaders will be using the FA Wiki pages for reference. This does not require a registered account. A project leader or other user may be issued a registered account based on a specific work assignment or membership on a national team.


What will registered users be able to do in the FA Wiki?

Registered users will be able to comment on wiki pages and where permission has been granted, edit/write wiki pages. A registered account offers an opportunity for increased engagement for the user.

Registered users are placed into specific groups. These groups may have access to restricted areas established to accomplish a given assignment.


Does a user need an account to see FA Wiki content?

No, much of the wiki content is viewable without a registered account. However, the only way an unresgistered user can offer feedback is by using the “E-mail Us” link located at the bottom of each FA Wiki page. Registered users will be able to offer feedback through the commenting function on the FA Wiki.


How is the FA Wiki organized?

The FA Wiki is a collection of pages organized into wiki spaces.


Will registered users be able to see everything on the FA Wiki?

No, user access to wiki spaces is determined by membership in a group. Groups are assigned permissions to a given wiki space.The FA Wiki is comprised of several spaces serving various functions.


Does a user need a registered account to comment on proposed guidance posted in the wiki for review and comment?

No, commenting on proposed guidance will not require a registered account. Anonymous commenting will be allowed.
