Mar 25, 2014We will remove the contact information, funding amounts, and dates from this section. (That information will be in the annual Request for Applications) We will add information that clarifies the application process and assists applicants to prepare their applications for funding.

It might be appropriate to state that grant availability notices will be issued X days before the closing date for grant applications.

If the Coastal priority was removed in 2005, it would be beneficial for all to allow states to submit one proposal only when requesting funds for coastal and inland waters.
I would also suggest including language in this section to indicate that subgrantees (marinas, municipalities, etc.) may apply for CVA Program funds through the agency designated in their state to implement the program.

Apr 30, 2014Lynne V, NY - (a) Combine Inland and Coastal applications; this would save on redundancy and the application would be less cumbersome. (b) Provide a regular proposal date that states can rely upon each year or omit the date from the regs.
