Jul 24, 2015WSFR Training Branch encourages the development of a definition of "assets". As 50 CFR 80.90(f) currently reads, it is difficult to interprete what exactly is being implied as part of the grantee's responsibilities.
Additionally, WSFR Training Branch strongly encourages the development of a definition of "control". The definition of control is extremely important, especially as it relates to proposed, new state legislation that has the possibility to create scenario's of potential diversions under the current 50 CFR 80.11(c). It is not uncommon for State FW agencies to seek the advice of Regional Office staff concerning proposed legislation that may have the potential to impact the State FW agency and its hunting and fishing license revenue. Absent a more clearly definition of what exactly is "control", this helps to create the possibility for differing interpretations of what the term "control" is truely defined as.
